PROTECT LIFE FROM CONCEPTION
DAVID MERVAR
David has promised to end abortion, no compromise, no regulation, no exception.
He will seek to end it once and for all in Indiana by seeking to pass the Protection of Conception bill.
He is also involved with Hoosiers for Life, the statewide group responsible for the Protection at Conception bill.
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON SB 325 AMENDMENT 12
The Politician voted in favor of killing the pro-life amendment to this bill.
In voting "yes," The Politician supported House Leadership in killing an amendment which required the Indiana State Department of Health to revoke an entity's license, if that entity knowingly and intentionally participated in ending the life of an innocent human being.
Indiana code already states that human life begins at conception (IC 16-34-2-1.1). SB325 Amendment 12 attempted to reinforce this definition, yet The Politician was an accomplice in killing the amendment.
DAVID MERVAR
David believes a baby's life begins at conception.
If a baby is born prematurely, he or she deserves medical care, just like any other human being.
David himself was born as a premie baby, so this is a personal issue. To think that David might have been denied medical care because "he was born a few weeks too early" is horrifying.
Yet, this is the terrible pain many Hoosier families have experienced. As our corrupt medical system has allowed their premature babies to die without potential lifesaving care.
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON SB 204 AMENDMENT 1
The Politician voted once again in favor of killing a pro-life amendment to a bill.
In voting "yes," The Politician voted to kill an amendment that would have protected premature babies.
Indiana already extends legal protections to babies who survive abortions. This amendment would have extended these legal protections to all premature babies, not just those who survive abortions.
Due to outrage among Hoosier voters, House Leadership brought the amendment back to another bill, which The Politician voted in favor for on the second time around. However, House Leadership took the enforcement out of the amendment, making it worthless in protecting premature babies.
DAVID MERVAR
David strongly believes that no person should be forced, coerced or penalized into receiving a vaccine.
Individual citizens are responsible for their own health and health decisions.
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON SB 325 AMENDMENT 15
The Politician voted against this amendment which would have protected Hoosier's medical liberty against bureaucratic leadership.
House Leadership, with The Politician's help, killed this amendment that would have prohibited hospitals, physicians' offices, businesses, health officials, or any state or local government agency from coercing an individual to release information about their vaccination status, proof of immunity, or results of a medical test on order to participate or gather.
OPPOSE VACCINE DISCRIMINATION
DAVID MERVAR
In line with his belief on vaccine choice, David firmly believes that no individual should be excluded from society because of their choice to say "no" to an experimental "vaccine" that has caused medical complications and even death to countless individuals.
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON SB1 AMENDMENT 4
The Politician voted against this amendment which would have supported medical liberty by ensuring that employers who discriminated against employees declining a mandatory COVID vaccination were not eligible for general COVID immunity provided by SB1.
SUPPORT RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
DAVID MERVAR
David believes God is the head of the Church, not some government leader or entity.
Therefore, government has no right to prohibit the free exercise of religious liberty that is in line with the biblical foundations of God's Word.
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 3
The Politician voted against this amendment which supported protecting the right to worship even during a state of emergency by prohibiting the governor from setting limitations on church operation by executive order.
SUPPORT CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY
DAVID MERVAR
David believes that the right to protect one's self, one's family and innocent individuals is a God-given right.
As Zephaniah Swift, the author of the first legal treatise published in America wrote, “Self-defense or self-preservation is one of the first laws of nature…which no man ever resigned upon entering into society.”
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1369 AMENDMENT 5
The Politician voted against this amendment which supported true Constitutional Carry by removing language in the Constitutional Carry bill that gun rights experts warned could lead to the creation of a super database that would contain information about prohibited persons from NICS and IDACS. Records are notoriously incomplete, inaccurate, and often times will get responses of person's with similar names. Interjecting this unreliable information into a police stop might lead to identify an armed law abiding gun owner as a felon and would create challenging situations.
The Politician did vote for Constitutional Carry this year, but why did he refuse to vote for it the year before?
DAVID MERVAR
David believes parents, not the state, are the proper guardians of their children and tasked with the responsibility to raise them.
To this end, David has been involved with pressuring a local school board in his district to unmask our kids, permit vaccine choice, remove CRT and SEL from the classroom and restore patriotic, biblical values to the school curriculum, while giving parents back their rights that the school system has unjustly torn away from them.
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON - HB 1531
The Politician voted yes on allowing the State Department of Child Services (DCS) to interview a child at an Indiana school without parental consent.
VISIT A DYING FAMILY MEMBER
DAVID MERVAR
A close friend of David's was not permitted to be at his dying wife's bedside. Why? Because of the tyranny government has brought upon us through the weak excuse of COVID.
David firmly believes the government has no right keeping loved ones apart from one another.
Our hospitals have become like prisons, visitation is at the whim of bureaucracy.
This injustice must end!
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 5
The Politician voted against this amendment which would have prohibited the state, a political subdivision, or an officer or employee of the state or a political subdivision from restricting the right of an individual to visit another individual in hospice during an emergency.
VISIT GRANDMA AT NURSING HOME
DAVID MERVAR
David once again, firmly believes family members should never be forced apart due to the bureaucratic cruelty of government officials, especially during times the government claims are "emergencies."
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 6
The Politician voted against this amendment which would have prohibited the state, a political subdivision, or an officer or employee of the state or a political subdivision restricting the right of an individual to visit another individual in a nursing home during an emergency.
RIGHT TO OPERATE BUSINESS
DAVID MERVAR
David believes your right to work is a God-given right.
The government has no business tearing your livelihood away from you in the name of "safety" or arbitrarily deciding your business is not "essential."
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 8
The Politician voted against this amendment which would have prohibited the state, a political subdivision, or an officer or employee of the state or a political subdivision restricting the right of any business to conduct business as usual during an emergency.
RIGHT TO GATHER AS FAMILIES
DAVID MERVAR
David believes a people who have to check government regulations to see how many of their friends and family can come over for a barbecue are living in a Communistic regime.
The right to gather with loved ones and friends should not be taken away by the whims of bureaucratic government officials.
THE POLITICIAN
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 9
The Politician voted against this amendment which would have prohibited the state, a political subdivision, or an officer or employee of the state or a political subdivision imposing any mandates or restrictions on any individual or any family during an emergency.
With The Politician's voting record, one would think he ins running as a Democrat House Representative in California!
David Mervar is the "True Republican" for the Hoosier State!
